FELLOWSHIP MEAL
On the first Sunday of every month immediately following the morning worship we share a potluck-style meal and a time of fellowship.
Home Groups
Grace Covenant Church believes that one of the main ways we learn to grow and serve the body of Christ is by sharing life together. Twice a month members of the Grace Covenant Community meet together in homes throughout Hampton Roads to fellowship, share a meal, study the Bible and pray. If you are interested in joining a home group, please contact Pastor Joshua Henson (martyrcalvin@gmail.com).
Nursery
Nursery is provided for children up to their third birthday during our Sunday school service, morning worship (after the pastoral prayer) and vesper. We are committed to providing a safe, healthy, and Christ-honoring environment for little ones so that parents are able to attend to God's Word while their children are being well-cared for.
Children's Sunday School
We have children's Sunday school classes available for ages 3 through fifth grade on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am (except for the first Sunday of the month). The children learn about Jesus throughout all of scripture in a chronological format as teachers present God's redemptive plan from Genesis to Revelation.
Youth Bible Study/Fellowship
The GCC youth group currently meets twice a month and is for students in sixth through twelfth grade. They are currently working through a series on hymns and also engage in mission projects. During these strong worldview-shaping years, our goal is to come alongside parents in faithfully teaching them God's Word while also fostering camaraderie and fellowship together.
Young Adult Bible Study/Fellowship
Our young adult group is comprised of men and women beyond high school, from college/career age to young married couples and everything in between. They seek to build one another up and bear each other's burdens to the glory of God as they gather once a month for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. They are currently reading through the book, The Joy of Fearing God, by Jerry Bridges.
Steadfast Sisters
The "Steadfast Sisters" anchor their mission in 1 Corinthians 15:58. They gather together on a monthly basis to share in a book study, fellowship, pray, and encourage one another to honor the Lord and to serve others.
Men's Ministry
Our men's ministry gathers periodically to build one another up in Christ, provide quality time for fathers and sons, and celebrate the bonds of faith and accountability all while camping, bowling, or having a bit of friendly competition.
One-On-One Discipleship
Titus 2 is our model for mentoring relationships within the church for both older men mentoring younger men and older women mentoring younger women. Encouragement, accountability, biblical wisdom, and prayer are the focus of these meetings on a more personal scale.
Fellowship Team
The fellowship team is comprised of both men helping to set up and break down tables and chairs and women who receive and set out food during our monthly meals. Our fellowship team also converts our foyer into a coffee and snack area during the break between our Sunday school and morning worship services each week as members chat, catch up, and chase children out by the playground.
Greeter Ministry
Need a bulletin or a coloring page for your child? Want to know what time nursery begins? Would you like be introduced to someone? Our friendly greeters are here to help and to meet you in the sanctuary with a smile.
